Born in the year 1304 in Tangier, Morocco, Abu Abdullah Muhammad Ibn Abdullah Al Lawati Al Tanji Ibn Battuta was the greatest traveler on earth.

Ibn Battuta Journey to Many Lands

Ibn Battuta was a fourteenth century scholar and traveller from Morocco. He spent nearly thirty years visiting the known Islamic world, Africa, the Middle East, India, central Asia and even China. He wrote a book about his travels called The Journey or Rihla in Arabic.

 It tells us about the lands he visited and the people who lived there. It also helped map makers.
