“Acharya Charaka’s renowned work, titled “The Charaka Samhita”, Is considered an encyclopedia of Ayurveda.
His principles on diagnosis and cures retained their potency and truth. Acharya Charaka revealed the facts
on human anatomy, Embryology, Pharmacology, Blood circulation and diseases like diabetes, Tuberculosis, Heart disease etc.
In the “Charaka Samhita” he had described the medicinal qualities and functions of 1,00,000 herbal plants .

He had emphasized the need for the diet control and activity of mind and body.
