Bhaskaracharya A GREAT DISCOVERER (1114 -1183 Before Common Era) Bhaskaracharya was a born genius and an authority in mathematics, especially in algebra and geometry. His famous work Lilavati and Bijaganita remain unparallel works by substantiating his profound intelligence. His astronomical findings on planetary positions, occurrences of eclipses and cosmography written in his treatise itled "Siddhani Shiromani" stun every one.In his book Surya Siddhant' he wrote on the gravitational force, that helps to keep the planets, the Sun and the moon in their respective orbits much before the world could even waken and realize to these findings.
Acharya Charaka THE FATHER OF MEDICINE (600 Before Common Era) “Acharya Charaka’s renowned work, titled “The Charaka Samhita”,is considered an encyclopedia of Ayurveda. His principles on diagnosis and cures retained their potency and truth . Acharya Charaka revealed the facts on human anatomy,embryology,pharmacology,blood circulation and diseases like diabetes,tuberculosis,heart disease etc. In the “Charaka Samhita” he had described the medicinal qualities and functions of 1,00,000 herbal plants . He had emphasized the need for the diet control and activity of mind and body.
Acharya Bharadwaja PIONEER IN AVIATION TECHNOLOGY (800 Before Common Era) "He was an apostle of Ayurveda and mechanical science. He authored the “Yantra Sarasvasva” which includes astonishing and outstanding discoveries in aerospace science and flying machines like the one that flies on earth from one place to another ,the other travels from one planet to another and the one that travels from one universe to another. “

Aryabhata PIONEER ASTRONOMER & MATHEMATICIAN (476 Before Common Era) “Aryabhata gave the world the digit “0” (Zero) for which he became immortal. He was known to have evolved the calculation of (PIE) up to four decimal places . Ayrabhata was an intellectual prodigy who could formulate the method of calculating the motion of planets and predict the time of occurrence of eclipses. His theory on the shape of earth ,place of the earth in the solar system, its movement rotation and revolution was evolved thousands of years preceding the heliocentric theory by Copernicus His scholarly ladder reached its pinnacle when he wrote a text on astronomy and evolved a treatise in mathematics namely Ayrabhatiyam. ACHARYA Sushruta THE FATHER OF SURGERY (600 Before Common Era) “Acharya Sushruta ,a genius surgeon was widely accepted as the father of surgery and his mastery in the annals of medical sciences amazes every one .He is also considered the father of plastic surgery and science of anesthesia .His detailed surgical procedures given in “ Sushruta Samhita “ were quite advanced whereas during that period in Europe the concepts of surgery were still at the stage of infancy .His book on surgery prescribes treatment for twelve types of fracture and six types of dislocation.
Jagdish C Bose THE INVENTOR OF WIRELESS RECEIVER (1858 - 1937 A.D) "Jagdish Chandra Bose was a physicist, biologist, botanist, archaeologist and the writer of science fiction .He pioneered the investigation of radio, microwave optics, remote wireless signaling, and use of semiconductor and made very significant contributions to plant science .He also laid the foundation for the experimental science in the Indian subcontinent. He used his own invention Crescograph to measure plant’s response to various stimuli. Thereby he scientifically proved existence of parallelism between animal and plant tissue.”
