The 2010 Commonwealth Games were held in Delhi, India from October 3 to 10, 2010. Australia topped the medals tally with 74 Gold Models, India was 2nd with 38 Gold Medals ahead of England and Canada.

Common Wealth Games 2010 are being hosted in India?a matter of pride and shame. The level of corruption in our country ? India was never hidden or unknown from the residents, media?and others. But now it?s out in the open. Everyone in the world knows what?s cooking here.

Satyam?s owner got petrified after doing a scandal of over 7000 crore rupees, but here in Commonwealth Games the money, the rapport and the people involved are more in number; but the organisers-the committee never even got a bit scared of the consequences.

There have been loopholes in the way our government functioned, but they were loopholes?now we are witnessing that people involved are doing wrongs at such a massive scale and not bothered at all.

The question is will they walk away Scott Free after the Games?

Being citizens and media we should not be merely sitting and criticising about the whole fiasco; rather see to it that the people who have brought the country down to shame should be penalised strictly.

First these people bribe with hefty amounts of money to host the games in our nation, and then they don?t even do the preparations properly? How can someone just not think about the country they belong to, the place where they have been living, the soil they have been associated with?

Someone rightly said, that ?if there is God somewhere on this earth, then it has to be in India; as it is he on whose shoulders everything?s running?.

I sincerely wish a happy doomsday, rather than living to see a day when people run out in the open killing each other, eating their food, taking off others clothes to keep themselves warm?and so on. Like few corrupted babu log have been doing, I don?t think that day is far away.
